Our Process

Custom Marine Canvas — Tailored for Your Boat, Built to Last

At TRU Canvas, every project is custom-fit to your vessel. No generic templates. No mass production. From your first inquiry to the final installation, here’s how we bring your custom boat cover or enclosure to life:

1. Consultation & Quote

We begin with a phone call or email to understand your needs—whether it’s a custom boat cover, canvas enclosure, or another unique solution. I’ll visit your boat in person to assess the space, take measurements, and discuss materials, color choices, and functional design. Some estimates are ready on the spot; others may require a bit more time depending on complexity.

2. Patterning & Preparation

Once approved, I take precise measurements, template the area, and record key design elements. This ensures your marine canvas is tailored to your boat’s specific structure, hardware, and use-case. Every detail matters—fit, durability, and function all depend on this critical step.

3. Custom Fabrication

Using only premium marine-grade canvas materials, I handcraft your project in-house. I cut, sew, and assemble everything myself. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. Just expert canvas fabrication built for long-term performance in marine conditions.

4. Fitting & Final Delivery

When your canvas is complete, I schedule installation and make sure everything fits and functions perfectly. I’ll walk you through how to use and care for your new marine canvas system, ensuring you get the most from it for years to come.

Great marine canvas isn’t just made—it’s measured, crafted, and fine-tuned to your boat. At TRU Canvas, the process is personal, precise, and proudly hands-on.
